3MO TXL RWD SEQUENTIAL GEARBOX

600 Nm / 450 lb-ft Ultralight

RWD 600 6 Speed Ultralight Gearbox

OVERVIEW

The lightweight 27kg / 59lb 3MO TXL 6 Speed RWD Sequential Gearbox suits racing engines using longitudenally orientated, front or mid mounted engines, connected to a rear wheel drive differential. Race car owners spend a lot of time and money taking weight out of their cars, so it makes no sense adding that weight back with a heavy or over sepcified gearbox that's not fit for purpose. The transmission's compact size means driveline tunnels dont usually need to be modifed making fitting simple and easy in a wide range of situations. This is the same gearbox as the TXL 500 Nm version with upgraded materails inside allowing an additional 100Nm of torque handling ability. So, if you have 600Nm or less, then the TXL lightweight and super quick shifting sequentiual gearbox is probably the right choice for you.

This versatile 3MO sequential gearbox has a wide range of 35 gear ratios and 3 driven shaft ratios to choose from ensuring drivers can specify the gearbox at ordering time for their unique needs - in other words; there's a gear ratio for almost every situation. The TXL 6 Speed Sequential Gearbox is capable of handling engine torque of 600 Nm with 1st gear@3.08 and 0.97 input drive (25 x 24) i.e. 2.98. If a taller 1st gear ratio of 2.92 and 0.87 input drive (23 x 20) ie 2.54 are chosen; then torque capability is reduced to 520 Nm.

In Drifting applications, the 3MO TXL Sequential Transmission is capable of handling engine torque of 1100 Nm with 1st@2.98, or 1000 Nm with 1st@2.54.

There are three inspection ports to allow for easy checking of the dog rings without disassembling the gearbox, which saves workshop time.

With proper shift technique and lubrication, dog rings should be good for 60 hours of racing or 8400km / 5250 miles. Likewise, gear positions 2 and 3 are rated for 50 hours or 7000km / 4375 miles, with gear positions 4, 5 and 6 being rated for 75 hours or 10500km / 6560 miles. These service life ratings assume the gearbox is being run at the maximum torque loading - if the torque is less than the maximum load, then the service life may be extended.

This gearbox is also available in 4WD format.
